![]() Now all that said, Battlestations Midway is an old but decently reviewed game. Otherwise I think $10 a month? That's not even necessary at low tier, but it will become a boon once you get to higher tiers. If you get it around Christmas you can usually get 1 yr of time for $45. Just like the MMO's of yore except cheaper and not strictly required. The only thing you really need to get all the enjoyment out of the game in my opinion is premium time. It's just there to keep the daily players happy and engaged - it's never or rarely of any great importance. You can always just skip/ignore the loot boxes. It's too niche of a genre and requires too much effort/money for such a small group of players to make a decent game (One of our ships takes a group of people several months to model/build). Recently, my distaste for the modern gaming industry reached the final straw, and I've sworn off games like that. However, I absolutely HATE FOMO, lootboxes, battlepasses, microtransactions, and all the other faff that comes with modern high-budget games. โพสต์ดั้งเดิมโดย Nyakuza:As a naval enthusiast, I absolutely LOVE the gameplay of WoWs. It's got spaceships, it's technically always online You can still get cross chat (again it online so the background sim can do things in real time) Open- your in public but your unlikely (usually) To see other players It does boarder into a sim at times and you can actually do some political power play and change which factions posses what in some systems (So yes there is a background sim for it as well) It's a huge game, recently I've been fighting some aliens but helped a friend set up a clan. There are a few planets out there that say "First footfall Dr.Nems" Or slap a fuel scoop on your ship and explore the Galaxy. ![]() You can also go planet side and first person shooter it up if you want. There are so many activities from space trucker, alien hunter, UPS/Amazon, to just being a hired gun. The only time you see other players is like a community even that's really popular, or if you're in some super popular system. ![]() You'll rarely see another player (It takes place in our galaxy and It's massive) It is online and requires a connections, but there is "Open" "Private" And "Group" Modes to the game. Very Sci-fi spacey and all that, doesn't have any of those micro transactions (Ok you *can* get livery skins that do absolutely nothing in anyway shape or form) ![]()
